STODDARD COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

A man has been sentenced to prison time after a 2012 deadly crash in Stoddard County.

According to Stoddard Co. Prosecuting Attorney Russ Oliver, Donald Smith, Jr. of Marble Hill was sentenced Wednesday to serve 15 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.

Oliver says it was for his role in the death of Amanda Allenbaugh on May 3, 2012, near Advance.

Allenbaugh died from her injuries in a high speed crash on Route O east of Advance.

Smith was driving and was being pursued by Advance police at the time of the crash.

He had pleaded guilty to second degree murder charges and was sentenced on a change of venue from Stoddard to Dunklin County.

Oliver says due to Smith's plea, he will be statutorily ineligible for parole until he has served 85 percent of his sentence.
