Faulkner fractures finger, out indefinitely

(KFVS) - Southern Illinois fifth-year senior quarterback Kory Faulkner suffered a fractured right index finger during the Salukis' loss Saturday to North Dakota State and will be out indefinitely.

Faulkner injured the finger on SIU's first drive of the second half and was replaced by redshirt freshman Ryan West. West is expected to start Southern Illinois' next game Nov. 2 at Western Illinois.

Faulkner, a native of Ste. Genevieve, has made 26 consecutive starts. He leads the Missouri Valley Conference in total offense and is 15th in the nation in passing yards through eight games.
