3 facing mob action charges after incident with guns in Carbondale

Carbondale police say three men are facing mob action and other charges after an incident involving guns.

It happened around 6 p.m. Friday in the 800 block of South Illinois Avenue.

Officers say a victim had an earlier altercation with the suspects outside of the city limits before the victim fled to Carbondale.

Police say the victim was approached by two of suspects showing handguns.

The victim tried to flee when he was hit by one of the suspects, causing non-life threatening injuries.

Officers found the suspects nearby.

Terry Y. Little was charged with possession of stolen firearm, mob action and unlawful use of a weapon.

Manuel C. Shanklin was charged with mob action, unlawful use of a weapon, no valid FOID and obstructing justice.

Detrick Y. Rogers was charged with aggravated battery and mob action.

All three suspects were booked into the Jackson County Jail.

Police say the investigation into the incident is continuing.
