MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - An Indiana woman faces reckless driving and other charges after a two-vehicle crash in McCracken County.
According to the sheriff's office, around 2:30 p.m. Sunday, sheriff's deputies were called to the intersection of KY 286 and McKendree Church Road for a two-vehicle injury collision.
An investigation showed that Mikel-An Krueger, 23, of Evansville, Indiana was at the intersection of McKendree Church Road and KY 286 in a Chrysler 300. Krueger began to make a turn onto KY 286, when she pulled into the path of a Jeep driven by Brenda Wilkerson, 49, of Wickliffe. Wilkerson could not avoid Krueger's vehicle and collided with it.
Emergency Workers had to extricate Krueger from her car. Krueger and Wilkerson were taken to a Paducah hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Krueger was cited at the hospital with the following charges:
· Operating on a suspended or revoked license
· Failure of owner to maintain required insurance 1st
· Reckless driving
· Display of a fictitious/canceled operator's license.
KY 286 was closed for about an hour because of the collision.
The McCracken County Sheriff's Department was assisted on the scene by Concord Fire and Mercy Regional Ambulance.
