18-year-old injured after car crashes, hits house

STE. GENEVIEVE COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - An 18-year-old was hospitalized after his car crashed and hit a house on Saturday morning.

It happened shortly after 5 a.m. on northbound Highway N, just south of New Bremen Road in Ste. Genevieve County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Caleb S. Claar, 18, of St. Mary lost control of his car before it left the road, overturned a number of times and hit a house.

Claar was taken to a Ste. Genevieve hospital with serious injuries. It's unknown if he was wearing a seat belt.

Missouri Highway Patrol Troop C says no one was injured in the home.
