Mollie Lair anchors Heartland News Now at 4:00 p.m. each weekday.
Mollie comes to us from WTAP-TV in Parkersburg, West Virginia. During her two years there, she worked as a reporter and anchor to write, shoot and edit her stories. When a derecho hit the area in June of 2012, she was there highlighting the struggle of thousands of people who went without power for weeks. That same year she was recognized by the West Virginia Broadcasters' Association as Best General Assignment Reporter.
Mollie also worked as an intern for NBC News in London, and CBS Evening News in New York. She is a proud Elon University alum, but as a Kentucky native, she bleeds blue. Mollie is a huge UK basketball fan. While she's moved a lot over the past few years, she always enjoys the chance to go home.
When she's not in the newsroom, Mollie spends her time running, traveling, and cheering for her Wildcats. She loves telling your stories so, if you have an idea or concern, send her an email.
