2nd Harrisburg robbery suspect in custody in Cape Girardeau

HARRISBURG, IL (KFVS) -

The second Harrisburg bank robbery suspect is in custody in Cape Girardeau, Mo., according to Harrisburg Police.

Harrisburg Police say they are awaiting 28-year-old Casey Heflin's transfer back to Harrisburg.

According to Cape Girardeau police, they arrested Heflin at a Cape Girardeau hotel after receiving a tip. Heflin was taken to the Cape Girardeau County Jail.

Harrisburg Police say the first suspect, 38-year-old Shawn Gregory, was charged Friday with armed bank robbery and unlawful possession of controlled substance.

Gregory came to the Harrisburg Police Department to be interviewed around 7 p.m. Thursday, and was charged with the robbery on Friday.

The second suspect identified as Casey Heflin is charged with armed robbery.

The robbery happened at the Old National Bank on Rollie Moore Drive near Wal-Mart.

The bank was closed as police investigated the scene.

According to the sheriff's office, officers from the Harrisburg Police Department, Saline County Sheriff's Office and the FBI responded to the scene.

Officers say a weapon was displayed. An undetermined amount of cash was taken.

No injuries were reported.

Harrisburg Police Chief Bob Smith says one suspect was the robber and the other was the driver.
