Teen killed in St. Francois County crash

ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

A Desloge teenager was killed over the weekend in a crash in St. Francois County.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, 19-year-old Nicole L. Reed was driving north on Highway 67 Saturday morning around 2:40 just south of Parkway Drive when her vehicle went off the road and down an embankment.

The car then overturned several times.

Reed was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her passenger, 20-year-old Dakota R. Womack of Bonne Terre, was moderately injured and taken to Mineral Area Hospital.

    A 19-year-old of Carbondale, Illinois has been sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
