Benton man's fence damaged in hit and run

BENTON, KY (KFVS) - The Marshall County Sheriff's Office is looking for a suspect after a hit and run on October 9.

Edwin Poe, 81, of Benton reported to police that a 1990s dark colored vehicle crashed into his fence.

Poe told police it went through the yard and hit the fence again while it was leaving the yard.

The vehicle missed the gas main by inches.

The next day, a witness came forward and reported seeing the crash. He told police the vehicle was a 1993 Honda black or dark blue vehicle. The witness said there was considerable damage to the vehicle and that it was driven by a young male.

Anyone with information on this hit and run is asked to call 270-527-3112 and speak to the investigating officer or call 527-COPS and remain anonymous. The caller may be eligible for a reward of up to $1000.
