Paducah police report telephone scam

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

The Paducah Police Department is warning residents about what they are calling a telephone phishing scam reported on Thursday.

A resident told police that they had received a telephone call from the number (616) 980-2546, which showed on caller I.D. as Bank Card Services.

The caller was requesting banking information. When the resident asked what financial institution was calling, the caller began belligerent.

Police say remember not to provide any of your personal or banking information over the telephone.
