Marketplace hiccups being worked out

JACKSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - Illinois officials say they're hoping people will have better luck signing up for coverage as glitches with the website get worked out.

Health officials at the Jackson County Health Department say if shopping online isn't your thing, to make an appointment to come in and get assistance from trained staff.

Right now the department is working with folks who scheduled appointments about a week ago so it won't be right away before you can come in.

"There are a lot of moving pieces to get something this large moving forward," said Miriam Link-Mullison with the Jackson County Health Department." The websites are up, the help lines are out there, there is a little bit of a wait, yes because that's because a lot of people are accessing."

In the first day alone, more than 100,000 people visited the site.
