7 shotguns, ammo stolen from Jeep in Paducah

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - Paducah police are seeking information after seven shotguns and other items were stolen from a vehicle parked at a hotel near Interstate 24 and U.S. 60.

James J. Hazen of Lakeland, Florida, called police at 8 a.m. Monday when he found a window of his 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee had been broken out.

A wooden storage box containing the shotguns and ammunition rounds, along with bags and suitcases, was missing.

The stolen guns were: a Remington Model 11 16-gauge shotgun; a Browning A5 12-gauge shotgun; a Mossberg over and under Silver Reserve 12-gauge shotgun; two Remington Model 1100 12-gauge shotguns; a Remington Model 1100 20-gauge shotgun; and a Benelli 12-gauge shotgun.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Paducah Police Department at 270/444-8550 or Crime Stoppers at 443-TELL. Tipsters also may text their tips to "CRIMES" (274637) by entering "KyTips" followed by their information, or by visiting the Crime Stoppers website at westkycrimestoppers.info. Information leading to an arrest or indictment could result in a reward of up to $1,000.
