Chef Jeff - Healthy Scallops 10/2

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - I'm Chef Jeff, and I'll show you how to make a gourmet meal in under five minutes.

We'll start off by combining fresh fruit, healthy seafood and two super foods of red onion and chopped kale.

Then, take a little bit of canola oil and chop the kale up really, really fine in order to crust it.

Next, we're going to add red onions.

The pan should be nice and hot. You crank the heat up on it and you let it sear.

How you can tell that scallop is ready, you want to get it caramelized right on the bottom for about a good 15-20 seconds. Then you could be dicing up your watermelon!

Look, it becomes a beautiful diamond scallop!

This is going to explode in your mouth because it is all about flavor with Chef Jeff!
