CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - We told the second grade class at Nell Holcomb School in Cape Girardeau that we were doing a story on them. That was kind of true, it was more of a story on one of their classmates, McKenna Hopkins.

Hopkins father, Luke, just returned home from Afghanistan after serving as a vehicle commander in the US Navy.

"Well if I knew what heaven was like it would be like this," Luke Hopkins said.

"I'm just glad we are a family of four again," Amber Hopkins said.

Luke Hopkins said this was his fourth deployment and by far his hardest one.

"I just wanted to see my girls," Hopkins said.
