A Cape Girardeau soldier surprised his second grade daughter at school today! Todd Tummnia was at Nell Holcomb and caught the whole thing on camera. Watch Heartland News at 9 and 10 for more.

A Poplar Bluff man is dead after the excavator he was in fell into a lake and he became pinned. Sheriff Mark Dobbs said deputies were able to pull the man out of a window, but he died later at the hospital.
