Dexter man accused of spreading HIV has court date postponed

DEXTER, MO (KFVS) -

A Dexter man with HIV who faces a charges of reckless exposure to HIV was originally scheduled to be in court on Thursday.

But, the preliminary hearing for David Mangum is now set for October 3, at 1 p.m. at the Stoddard County Courthouse.

Police say Mangum admitted to having more than 300 partners with 50 to 60 of those in Stoddard County.

Stoddard County prosecutor Russell Oliver said 36-year-old Mangum is facing 22 counts for having unprotected sex with three men without telling them he was HIV-positive.
