Nearly 800 were without power in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

Ameren Missouri reported 758 customers without power in Cape Girardeau County Tuesday afternoon.

Many of those were in the city of Cape Girardeau.

According to Ameren, a power line failed in the southeast part of Cape Girardeau around 2:38 p.m. They do not know why it failed.

The power was back on at 3:07 p.m.

Cape Girardeau police say the outage was along Sprigg Street, at 74 and Sprigg and Morgan Oak and Sprigg.

Police were directing traffic at the 74 and Sprigg intersection.
