The team of diggers in Herrin, Ill. say their search is far from over at spending all day at the cemetery searching for the remains of the Herrin Massacre victims. Allison Twaits was at the city council meeting in Herrin tonight where the question of whether the mayor will halt the digging at the cemetery was addressed. New Madrid schools have implemented a new attendance policy. Some parents told Kadee Brosseau today the new policy is unfair to students who have medical needs. School officials say the policy is for the good of the students and the school. You can click here for more.

It's that time of year again, when experts say it's time to get your flu shot. The Cape Girardeau Public Health Department will hold its first community clinic Thursday, September 26 at the Osage Centre.

Going to college has just gotten easier for high school seniors who have overcome prescription drug abuse. Ky. Attorney General Jack Conway announced a new scholarship today that's targeted to high school seniors who have been impacted by prescription drug abuse, either as a recovering addict, as the child of an addict or in some other way.

A 62-year-old Cotter, Ark. man was arrested on rape charges this morning after police say he was caught on tape telling the victim, "it would never happen again." William Leon Bardin was arrested at his home after a two-week long investigation by the sheriff's office and Arkansas State Police.
