Cape Girardeau County Health Dept. to hold flu clinics

CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

It's that time of year again, experts say it's time to get your flu shot.

Public health experts recommend the vaccine to anyone six months and older.

This year there is a new type of flu shot.

Experts say it provides even more protection against the flu bug.

The Cape Girardeau County Public Health Department is holding its first community clinic this Thursday at the Osage Centre.

They'll offer traditional shots, the flu mist, and a high dose shot for those 65 and older.

Beginning September 30 ,2013 flu vaccinations will be available at the Cape Girardeau County Public Health Center, on a walk-in basis, from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
