THEBES, IL (KFVS) - The Thebes Historical Society is honoring Living History Day by acting out a mock trial from the 1800s.
The trial will be at the Thebe's historical courthouse on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The society will reenact a trial from the Civil War era as well as provide a tour through the Thebe's cemetery.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 18.
The society will also be hosting a quilt raffle. Tickets for the raffle are $2 for one ticket or $10 for six tickets.
Sweatshirts will be available from $20 to $25, along with home baked bread with fresh churned butter.
All proceeds will go toward the maintenance and preservation of the courthouse.
