3 arrested, 1 sought after drugs bust in Bonne Terre motel

BONNE TERRE, MO (KFVS) - Police arrested three people and are looking for another after drugs and knives were found in a Bonne Terre motel.

Bonne Terre officers got a call around 6:30 p.m. Sunday about a person possibly being held against his/her will.

A third party called police saying they had been texted by someone who said he/she was fearful for his/her life.

Officers were able to "ping" the cell phone to determine it at was the Bonne Terre Super 8 motel.

Officers knocked on the door of the room to make contact with those inside, but no one answered.

Then, an officer saw someone open the upstairs window, jump from the second story to the ground and run from the scene into a thick, wooded area.

Officers opened the electronic lock of the motel room and found three people lying on two beds.

Officers found drug paraphernalia, several knives, and what appeared to be methamphetamine littered on the floor, smeared on the furniture, and on the window.

All three were arrested for possession of methamphetamine and resisting arrest.

One of the suspects was identified as the reported victim, but police say that person was not injured and was not being held against his/her will.

The three suspects were taken to the St. Francois County Jail.

Police continued to search for the fourth suspect who ran from the scene with thermal imaging until around 8 p.m. They were unable to find the suspect, but have identified the person and are filing for an arrest warrant.
