Posted: Updated:
CARRIER MILLS, IL (KFVS) -

The Village of Carrier Mills is having its "Clean up Days" on Thursday-Saturday.

The clean-up is September 19-21 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Dumpsters will be placed on the downtown parking lot in Carrier Mills. The dumpsters then will be taken to a landfill.

On Friday only from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Baby Huey's from Mattoon, Illinois will be on hand to pick up electronics.

The electronic drop-off is free except for televisions. Baby Huey's asks for a $5 donation to dispose of a television.

The clean-up days have been very successful over the past few years.

Last year the village hosted a tire pick-up day and was able to load a semi truck full of used tires.

Tires, paint, hazardous materials, and electronics are not allowed in the dumpsters that will be taken to a landfill.
