Search continues for missing 83-year-old New Madrid County woman

NEW MADRID COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

Around 70 people joined K-9 search crews Saturday in New Madrid County, in hopes of finding 83-year-old Barbara Stoffer.

She was last seen on August 20.

Crews came from several agencies, including the Missouri Highway Patrol, New Madrid Police Department and the New Madrid County Sheriff's Department.

Search crews are making sure they cover as much ground as possible.

Stoffer is 5'2" and 120 pounds and was last seen in a green Volvo.

If you have any information, you are asked to contact the New Madrid Police Department.

    James C. Barber fought in one bloodiest battles during the Korean War, and said he is the only former Prisoner of War still alive in the area that the Poplar Bluff VA hospital serves.
