ND volleyball head coach wins 300th game

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - The volleyball head coach of Notre Dame is celebrating her 300th win.

Coach Tara Stroup reached the milestone in pool play against Hazelwood West on the floor of the SEMO Rec Center at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau. The team beat Hazelwood West 2-0 at the "Dig for Life Challenge" H.S. Volleyball Tournament.

"I like the other coaches that I work with," said Coach Stroup. "I like the girls at Notre Dame, they're great! They are wonderful to work with, they try really hard."

Stroup took over the program that her mom, Helen Payne, had coached. Her oldest son is the team's manager.
