CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - A Cape Girardeau thrift store clerk got to help Ben Affleck pick out clothes for his new movie Thursday night.
Melissa Colyer, 20, was working at a local thrift store Thursday when she says Ben Affleck and his stylist came in looking for clothes for the movie "Gone Girl".
She helped Affleck find $1000 worth of clothes for the movie. Colyer says they were they were looking for a coat, a couple pairs of pants, and t-shirts.
"Ben Affleck is very tall," Colyer said. "He was nice and he had a Batman t-shirt on. His stylist was also really nice and it's probably an experience I'll never forget."
Cape Girardeau Career and Technology student Devin Winter, 21, shot the interview with Colyer.
Friday, police had to shut off a few streets in downtown Cape Girardeau while filmmakers shot scenes for the major motion picture "Gone Girl."
Friday, the crew posted some of the "missing" flyers to be used in the film.
Actress Rosamond Pike will play Affleck's wife, Amy Dunne.
A crew member says the actors should start shooting scenes Monday.
Filming in Cape Girardeau should last well into October.
