Man arrested after crashing into vehicle, Hydrocodone found but no prescription

MARSHALL COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - A man was arrested Tuesday after having Hydrocodone with no prescription and crashing into a vehicle.

George R. Claypoole, 66, of Palm Springs, Florida is charged with wanton endangerment 1st degree, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, possession of a controlled substance 2nd degree and prescription controlled substance not in proper container.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, Claypoole was traveling west on Interstate 24 and tailgating vehicles. Claypoole pulled up beside a vehicle and acted like he was going to throw a bottle out of the window. He nearly lost control of his vehicle and hit the victim, according to the sheriff's office.

Later, Claypoole ran onto the median, lost control and hit a ditch.

Police found a wooden box with five Hydrocodone pills, but did not find a prescription.

Claypoole was taken to the Marshall County Detention Center.
