FARMINGTON, MO (KFVS) - A criminal investigation is underway after four UPS trucks and part of the UPS building caught fire early Monday morning in Farmington.
Farmington Fire Chief Todd Mecey says fire was shooting out of four trucks and part of the building at 60 Industrial Drive when fire crews arrived on the scene.
Four trucks are lost. The building sustained substantial damage in the package handling portion of the building.
One dispatcher was inside the building at the time of the fire but was able to get out safely.
Mecey says explosions may have been heard in the area, but that was probably tires blowing on the trucks.
The Farmington Fire Department, Park Hills Fire Department, Desloge Fire Department, and Big River Fire Department responded to the fire.
Crews were able to knock the flames down after 20 minutes on the scene.
The Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate the cause of the fire.
