Amber Alert canceled for 13-year-old Illinois girl, found in Cape Girardeau

An Amber Alert has been canceled for a 13-year-old girl out of Champaign, Illinois police after they were found in Cape Girardeau.

Authorities say 13-year-old Cleo M. Younce was taken by 21-year-old Nicholas R. Hurley.

According to Champaign Police, police found both the suspect and the girl walking out of the Cape Girardeau Walmart just before noon.

The suspect is in police custody. The girl is safe, according to Champaign police.

Police confirmed the child abduction that happened in the 2400 block of Hathaway Dr. in Champaign on Thursday, September 5 at 3:24 p.m.

They were traveling in a bronze 2000 Chevrolet Suburban with Indiana license 261-CTD.
