MARION, IL (KFVS) -

Earlier this year, two Marion police officers were punished for the way they handled an uncooperative suspect.

Surveillance video from the police department shows officer Dusty Lingle kicking a suspect and then slamming his head against a wall.

Lingle pleaded guilty to one count of deprivation of rights-and has since resigned.

Another officer-Bryan Dematti served a 30-day suspension.

Marion Police Chief John Eibeck declined to comment on the matter.
