LONE OAK, KY (KFVS) - Two teens are in trouble with the law following an early-morning burglary.
Around 4:35 a.m. Monday McCracken County deputies were called to the Lone Oak Superway located at 3209 Lone Oak Road. When officers arrived they learned someone had thrown a large rock through the front door and gained entry into the store.
Security surveillance footage showed one male juvenile throwing a rock through door. A second boy entered through the front door and then left the store with cigarettes and soft-drinks.
Deputies identified the boys with the help of that security footage. The kids were later found walking in the 5300 block of Clinton Road.
The boys, both 13 years of age, admitted to breaking into the Superway store. Investigators found some of the stolen items taken from the store on their person.
The teens were charged with 3rd Degree Burglary and released to the custody of their parents with a court date pending.
