PARK HILLS, MO (KFVS) -

A Park Hills woman will spend 10 years in prison for trying to hire a hit man to kill her husband.

Annette Burnia, 39, of Park Hills pleaded guilty to a charge of 2nd degree murder.

Investigators say Burnia tried to get a relative to kill her husband, and that relative called police instead.

So, an undercover officer posed as a hit man. Investigators say Burnia paid the officer $200, and promised him her husband's boat and NASCAR collection.
