Cardinals make it two straight over Reds

The streaking St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Cincinnati Reds 6-1 Tuesday night to make it six wins in seven games.

Joe Kelly pitched six strong innings for first place St. Louis who now lead 2nd place Pittsburgh by 1 1/2 games and 3rd place Cincinnati by 4 1/2 games.

Matt Holliday helped pace the St. Louis offense by driving in a run for the seventh straight game.

Kelley (6-3), has improved to 6-0 in nine starts since rejoining the starting rotation on July 6th.
