A Paducah man is facing charges after police say he admitted to selling cocaine out of his home.

Travose L. Tharpe, 35, of Paducah was charged Friday morning with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officers say they had received complaints about illegal drug trafficking from the home in the 2500 block of Ohio Street.

Detectives went to the home Friday around 7:30 a.m. and found Tharpe and Williams inside. Detectives say that's when Tharpe admitted to selling cocaine and buying and using marijuana.

According to investigators, a small amount of marijuana and 4.3 grams of crack cocaine along with digital scales were found in Tharpe's bedroom.

Tanquvious L. Williams, 20, of Paducah was cited on a charge of third-degree possession of a controlled substance. Police say detectives found a powdery substance in his bedroom. Williams told police it was a ground up Trazodone pill, an anti-depressant.

Tharpe was taken to the McCracken County Jail.
