PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

A man was injured over the weekend when the bicycle he was riding was hit by a car in Noble Park.

According to Paducah Police, William Pitman said he was riding his bicycle Sunday afternoon when he was hit from behind by an unknown vehicle.

Pitman was taken to Baptist Health Paducah for treatment.

A witness said a red car with a black bra on the front hit Pitman and then fled the scene.

The witness said the car looked like it was an early 2000s model, similar to a Pontiac Grand Prix or Oldsmobile Alero.

A white male with long hair was driving and there was a white female passenger, both in mid-twenties to early-thirties, according to the witness.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Paducah Police Department at 270-444-8550.

Information leading to an arrest or indictment may lead to a reward of up to $1,000.
