LIVINGSTON COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reports flash flooding along KY 135/Carrsville Road in northern Livingston County.

They say radar indicates heavy rain along a line of thunderstorms running from about Grand Rivers across central Livingston County to the Ohio River near Carrsville. The line is moving northwesterly toward Pope County in Southern Illinois.

According to KYTC, the area of KY 135 that has been subject to flash flooding on Saturday runs from mile point 2.5 near the Hampton community extending northward to about the 6 mile marker near New Hope Church.

They say highway personnel and Livingston County emergency agencies are trying to place signs along this section as quickly as possible.

Drivers should avoid traveling this section of KY 135 and use extreme caution if venturing out in other parts of northern Livingston County as heavy rainfall continues.
