PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

Three people are accused of stealing someone's personal items from an apartment.

Around noon on Friday, McCracken County deputies were dispatched to River City Mission in Paducah about a report of a theft.

It was alleged that three of the tenants had taken personal items from two other tenants who lived in one of the apartments.

The investigation concluded personal items totaling around $1,200 were taken by tenants who were in charge of cleaning out vacated apartments.

John O'Shea, 22, and Blenda Denmon, 19, said they were in the process of moving out and had packed most of their belongings Thursday night.

They told officers they arrived Friday to find the packed items had been gone through. Jewelry, clothing, DVDs and other personal items were missing.

Police say after interviewing suspects and witnesses, the stolen items were found in and around the suspects' apartments and also in an adjoining vacant apartment.

Robert Maxie, 54, and his wife Britney Maxie, 27, were charged with theft by unlawful taking/disp over $500 and tampering with physical evidence.

Tracy Hardy, 35, was charged with theft by unlawful taking/disp under $500, and tampering with physical evidence.
