Many young athletes across the country and right here in the Heartland, are in the process of trying to qualify for the Little League World Series. This year, more education could be on the way for players and coaches about performance enhancing drugs. Todd Tumminia talked to some local coaches about what their plans are. Watch Heartland News at 9 and 10 for more.

The City of Cape Girardeau shut off the water to the former NARS call center Wednesday afternoon after an unpaid bill. The total amount owed was over $1,000 and was paid in full, so the water was turned back on.

A story that has been getting a lot of attention on our Facebook page today is about a mountain lion that was shot and killed in Arizona after showed up in a neighborhood. An Arizona Game and Fish spokesman estimated the big cat to be about 12 to 18 months old.
