Cape Girardeau call center's water turned off after unpaid bill

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

The City of Cape Girardeau shut off the water to the former NARS call center Wednesday afternoon after an unpaid bill.

Trisha Holloway, customer service manager for the city’s utility billing services, said Integrity Solution Services lost its water service briefly Wednesday because it owed one month’s bill, plus a portion of a second bill and two penalties.

The total amount owed was $1,018.71.

Holloway said ISS paid the amount in full and got the water turned back after a short time.

The ISS vice president for Human Resources, Stacy Spradling, called the disruption an oversight and said they’re still committed to the 400 workers, set to be laid off September 10, holding more than 20 job fairs and offering transitional services.
