WAYNE COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

A Wayne County family is looking for their very own guardian angel.

They say the man showed up in their time of need, right after a serious car crash to help save a life, and then disappeared.

The driver of the car hydroplaned on her way to work.

Witnesses say, the car was sideways on the road and the driver could not get out.

That was until two guys who were behind her on the road showed up.

The driver says they lifted her out the vehicle after she couldn't open the door.

Her family went to say thank you to the men and one of them disappeared.

No one knew who he was, and now the family just wants to say thank you for helping out.

"They got her out and everything, went to thank this guy and he just like disappeared ... he was gone," said Bonnie Carter, her mother.

"I really want to tell him thank for what he did and all the people that were there to help because I don't know what would have happened," said Chuck Carter, her brother.

Carter says is sister is doing better. Her neck is still a little sore but very thankful how it all turned out.

The family wants to pass along two simple words … thank you.
