Police: Felon faces charges after shooting

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

A Paducah, Kentucky man is accused of firing several gunshots at another man and putting others in harms way.

According to police, it happened shortly after 8 p.m. in the 800 block of Boyd Street.

Cory Brooks, 34, of Paducah, was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

It all started when police responded to a shots fired call on Boyd Street.

Investigators say Brooks is accused of firing several shots at a man around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Police say the other man wasn't injured, but others were in danger when he reportedly fired the gun.

Brooks was convicted of second-degree robbery in 2003 and sentenced to 10-years in prison, according to police.
