Ironton woman charged with burglary, assault

IMPERIAL, MO (KFVS) -

An Ironton woman faces charges after a burglary Friday in Imperial.

Jefferson County Sheriff Oliver “Glenn” Boyer says deputies responded to a burglary and assault report in the 3600 block of Morgan Way Drive around 10:30 p.m. Friday.

Deputies found the 52-year-old homeowner with injuries to his upper torso.

The victim heard noises inside the home and confronted a white female armed with a knife.

The son of the victim heard noises of a scuffle, responded downstairs, disarmed the suspect and held her down until deputies arrived.

Christina Fudge, 21, of Ironton, Missouri is charged with burglary 1st degree, armed criminal action and assault 1st degree.

Fudge is being held in the Jefferson County Jail on 250,000 cash only bond.
