A man is facing DUI charges after being injured in a crash in Graves County early Sunday.

According to Graves County Sheriff Dewayne Redmon, the crash happened shortly after 3 a.m. on Dooms Chapel Road in Symsonia, Kentucky.

Redmond says 42-year-old Craig Jones was driving a  Ford Fusion and ran off the road after he lost control of the car before coming up to a sharp curve.

Jones drove off into a culvert and his car hit a tree.

Redmond says Jones sustained multiple injuries. According to the sheriff's office, Jones was under the influence at the time of the accident.

Jones was taken to Lourdes Hospital by Mayfield EMS.

He was cited to court due to his injuries for DUI-first and other moving violations.
