Union City teen injured in wreck after car hydroplanes into ravine

FULTON COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

A Union City, Tennessee teenager was injured in a weather-related crash on Wednesday morning in Fulton County, Kentucky.

According to Kentucky State Police, it happened around 8:10 a.m. on State Line Road.

Crash investigators say Mary E. Smith, 18, was eastbound on State Line Road going toward Fulton when her car hydroplaned, left the road, hit a mailbox and came to a rest in a deep ravine.

She was taken by EMS to Parkway Regional Hospital with head and neck injuries.

Assisting at the scene were the Fulton County Sheriff's Office, Obion County Sheriff's Office, Fulton County EMS and Obion County Rescue.
