Redhawks' Johnson suffers bone bruise in knee

(KFVS) -

Sources tell KFVS that Southeast Missouri State basketball forward Nino Johnson suffered a bone bruise in his right knee Monday during a pickup basketball game, and he will need about four weeks to recover. Sources familiar with the injury say the team had initially thought Johnson had a torn his ACL, an injury that would have sidelined him for the upcoming season.

Last year Johnson averaged 11. points per game while racking up a team high 8.8 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game, setting the single-season record at SEMO with 84 rejections.
