ELLINGTON, MO (KFVS) -

Ellington will be getting jobs back when company returns after 14 years.

According to the Ellington Chamber of Commerce President, Christy Roberts, Paramount Apparel International Inc. will be opening a manufacturing facility on August 12, bringing in up to 100 jobs within the next year.

The company has leased the old Price General Store at Highway 21 and Y. They initially plan on hiring roughly 15 people to start on opening day. They hope to have over 50 employees by the end of the year as well. Roberts said this is a substantial increase in jobs for this area.

Back in 1999, Paramount closed its facility, losing 105 jobs. Roberts said, they are excited they are back and this is what the area needs. Paramount Apparel makes head-wear for people and for all seasons.

The company will host a job fair on July 30 at Paramount Apparel's new location in Ellington from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. They say they want applicants to be prepared and bring their social security card, photo ID and to be prepared for an interview.
