Authorities investigating armed home invasion in Kennett

KENNETT, MO (KFVS) -

Dunklin County deputies are investigating an early morning armed home invasion.

It happened about 1:10 a.m. Thursday at a home on Dunklin County Road 405.

The caller told 911 two black males at gunpoint had robbed them.

Police say they were told that two black males had entered the home, one having a gun and asking where the money was.

The residents of the home had recently received an insurance check and gave them the money. The suspects left on foot headed south. They got into a vehicle and left the area.

The investigation is ongoing.

Also responding to the 911 call were officers of the Kennett Police Department who assisted the sheriff's office.
