Developer has plans for vacant movie theatre in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, IL (KFVS) -

A vacant building will soon get a new look in Harrisburg.

Roman Kuppart with Triad Developments is the owner of the old AMC movie theatre. He plans on turning the 21,000 square foot building into a shooting range and offices.

The building sits in the heart of downtown Harrisburg. Kuppart says it will be a boost in sales for the city and add to developing to the downtown area.

The building closed about three years ago and sat vacant. It was purchased two months ago.

Plans are already in the works of reconstructing inside and hopes to have the shooting range open by November 1. An auction is being held this weekend to sell all the old contents inside.
