Jackson Homecomers 2013 schedule of events

JACKSON, MO (KFVS) -

This year marks the 105th celebration of the Jackson Homecomers event.

Things kick off Tuesday night, July 23, and run through Saturday, July 27.

Starting at 6:30 on Tuesday, there will be a welcome from Mayor Barb Lohr and the Jackson Muny Band will be performing.

Also at 6:30 will be the Homecomers 1 Mile Youth Run and the 5K run kicks off at 7.

The Homecomers Queen Pageant will begin at 8 and there will be an attendance drawing at 10 from the American Legion.

Wednesday night will feature the Senior Idols competition at 6:30, followed by a Gospel sing with live bands starting at 8.

The Talent Show is set for Thursday night at 6:30, rain or shine. If it does rain, the show will be moved indoors to the American Legion.

Friday night will feature the Talent Show Finals at 6:30.

Following that, River Cats will be performing at 8:30.

On Saturday evening, things will wrap up with a performance from the Senior Idol winners and Motown Review.
