Authorities are out right now in Wayne County, Mo. searching for two missing children. Troopers say the 2-year-old and 4-year-old went missing in the Big Lake area of Patterson, Mo. You can click here for more and watch Heartland News at 9 and 10 as we bring you more on this developing story.

Todd Tumminia will be bringing you an update on Dempster Hall tonight on Heartland News at 9 and 10. He was able to tour the building on the Southeast Missouri State University campus and look at what repairs have been made so far. It was damaged from a fire a week ago, and has been closed since.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating a train vs. car crash in Iron County. According to Corporal Clark Parrott, it happened around 5:50 p.m. on Highway 49 near Annapolis.

Power has been restored to several hundred Ameren Missouri customers in Cape Girardeau. Mark Hasheider with the Cape Girardeau Fire Department says a power failure caused the outages.
