CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) -

Twenty-one members of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity are spending their summer doing construction work.

This week, they're at Camp Little Giant in Carbondale where they're making improvements to the camp to make it more handicap accessible.

It's part of a program called "Build America" that aims to raise funds and awareness for people with disabilities.

"It gives the children a lot more opportunities to do different things and it allows the staff a little more of an ability to do more extravagant things," said Melissa Sutfin, an aquatics specialist counselor.

The fraternity volunteers also take part in events and programs with the campers during their five days at the camp.
